Award-winning playwright Helen Edmundson (Coram Boy; Zorro; An Inspector Callspremieres her first original new play in eleven years at the National Theatre! The two-time Olivier Award nominee brings Some Woman to the Dorfman in 2026, with the cast and creative team to be announced. Celebrated as much for her original work as she is for her adaptations of classic literature, her new play is sure to be another stellar gem.

Born in Liverpool and raised on the Wirral, Edmundson came to prominence in the early '90s when her original play The Clearing and her adaptation of The Mill on the Floss both won Time Out awards, followed by her critically acclaimed adaptation of War and Peace at the National Theatre. Her 2005 adaptation of Coram Boy was named in the Evening Standard's 50 best plays of the century, becoming a set text in A-Level drama.
