Hex

Hex at National Theatre, Olivier

Why see Hex?

Back for Christmas 2022!

The National Theatre casts the spell of Hex once more as this adventurous retelling of Sleeping Beauty returns to the Olivier theatre for an extra special Christmas season.

Directed by Rufus Norris, with a book by Tanya Ronder, music by Jim Fortune and lyrics by Norris, designs by Katrina Lindsay and choreography by Jade Hackett, Hex follows the story of a lonely fairy employed to help the baby Princess sleep. But rather than granting the King and Queen a little bit of a break from the newborn's cries, the fairy accidentally curses her to keep sleeping - for 100 years! Will she break the curse and convince everyone it was an accident? Find out when this dark new imagining of the classic fairytale sweeps back onto the stage on November the 24th!
