Experience the excitement of Matthew Bourne's latest revival of The Car Man as it tours the UK, coming to London's New Wimbledon Theatre from 21 - 25 April 2015 and returning to Sadler's Wells from 14 July - 19 August 2014. Loosely based on Georges Bizet's opera 'Carmen' and the 1934 novel 'The Postman Always Rings Twice' the production was nominated for an Olivier Award, winning the Evening Standard Award for 'Musical of the Year' when it made its West End debut in 2000.

Bourne's dynamic and fizzing choreography drives the action forward at a relentless pace as the ensemble cast jives and throws itself into climatic moments of violence, of which there are plenty in the story. Set in a small town 1960's America, passions are stirred when drifter Luca stops at a local garage-diner and embarks upon a dangerous affair with owner Dino's wife Lana, whipping up a viscous whirlwind of love, lust, betrayal and revenge that threatens to tear the town apart.
