Ben Chaplin heads to the Old Vic in Joe Penhall's newest play
Apple Tree Yard's Ben Chaplin heads to the Old Vic to lead this world premiere play from the man behind Sunny Afternoon and Blue/Orange.
In a swanky London recording studio a fight rages between a songwriter, her producers, their lawyers and a psychotherapist over who owns the rights to a hit song. Scratching beneath the glitz and glamour of the music industry, Mood Music is a witty portrait of the 'biz and the strange personalities drawn to it.
In addition to his celebratory biography of the Kinks and highly praised Blue/Orange, Australian Penhall has also lent his talents to Netfix's Mindhunter and film adaptations of The Last King of Scotland and The Road.
