The Tom Stoppard masterpiece returns to London

Tom Stoppard's existentialist play returns to the Old Vic in 2017 to celebrate 50 years since its world premiere! Daniel Radcliffe stars alongside Joshua McGuire as the baffling duo with David Haig as The Player. Set against the background of Hamlet, two minor characters from the Bard's original play provide the focus and a comic twist to the original grim proceedings. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern find themselves in an impossible situation as art and real life combine with explosive consequences.

Hamlet from another perspective!

A story within a story, the action takes place during the staging of Hamlet; however, our hapless heroes are actually the centre of the action and focus; Hamlet himself is only a small character in this story - a mirror image of the play, they only appear to us when Hamlet is on-stage (or off, in our case). Whereas In Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are unwitting pawns used by the King to manipulate Hamlet and murder him; however Hamlet manages to outsmart the two, so that in an ironic twist, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are the ones who wind up executed.
