The story follows the titular protagonist as she rails against the injustice of her arranged marriage. Upon learning that his sister has fallen in love with his archenemy, Enrico arranges her union to his associate Arturo, convincing Lucia that her love Edgardo has been unfaithful. A grisly end lies in wait for all on her fateful wedding night...
