As part of its new season, London's Royal Ballet and Opera is set to perform Sir Kenneth MacMillan's three-act masterpiece 'Manon' with choreography by Kenneth MacMillan and music by Jules Massenet. In a co-production with The Vienna State Opera and New York's Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera's 2026 season brings acclaimed French director Laurent Pelly's staging of Gaetano Donizetti's hilarious opera La Fille Du Regiment ("The Daughter of the Regiment"), wonderfully evoking the Tyrolian Alps and an enthusiastic band of soldiers raising the tomboyish Marie. Conducted by Yves Abel and featuring soprano Sara Blanch making her debut on the Royal Opera stage in the role of Marie, Pelly's production takes the best of Donizetti's original, replete with its slapstick and masquerade, and breathes new life into it for the London stage!

English National Opera will once again present The Marriage Of Figaro, in this fresh production directed by David McVicar. Mozart's most enduring comic opera stars Alex Esposito as the titular Figaro, alongside Louise Alder as Susannah. This quirky take on 'Figaro is a delightful exploration of human desire and fallibility!

Bellini's final work, a rousing bel canto set during the tumult of the English Civil War, concerns a secret love that defies the social and political divide, driving one of the lovers to the very edge of madness, returning for the Royal Ballet and Opera's 2026 season in this production from director Richard Jones. It stars Francesco Demuro and Lisette Oropesa as the lovers caught between their religions and a bitter war.
