How I Made my West End Debut

How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor is set to make his West End debut alongside Broadway star Noah Galvin in this new play from Jonathan Caren, with music from Grammy Winning singer-songwriter Ben Harper.

What Is The Story?

A 2025 O'Neill Theater Center Finalist and an Ojai Playwrights Festival Semi-Finalist, Hit Machine follows two brothers at opposite ends of the music business - one a top exec, one a fledgling musician - who come together to capture both of their experiences in one emotionally charged song.

An exploration of family, male violence, and shared past, Caren puts pop music at the heart of his play, exploring how it can offer an opportunity to reach into the messy maelstrom of emotions and create something meaningful, and hopefully healing.

Who Are The Leads?

Leading hit millennial sitcom How I Met Your Mother as lovelorn architect Ted Mosby, Josh Radnor has been a familiar face on screen since the show's premiere in 2006. He's also worked extensively in film and on stage, with his last theatre performance in 2024's The Ally at New York's Public Theatre earning him a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Performer in a Play.

Noah Galvin made his Broadway debut as an alternate for the titular character in Dear Evan Hansen in 2017, eventually replacing his real-life husband Ben Platt in the role full-time. Since then, he's been seen in movies like Theater Camp and Booksmart and on the small screen in The Good Doctor.
