Flyby

Flyby at Southwark Playhouse

Why see Flyby?

Love And Space

After its early development at the National Theatre, the new musical Flyby receives its world premiere at Southwark Playhouse Borough! Written by the RSC's Theo Jamieson and created with director Adam Lenson (Cable Street), the cast includes Poppy Gilbert (My Oxford Year), Stuart Thompson (Radiant Boy), Gina Beck (Wicked; Guys & Dolls), Rupert Young (Bridgerton; Dear Evan Hansen), and Simbi Akande (Hamilton). Positioning a love story next to the vastness of the cosmos and set to a contemporary score, don't miss this brand new show!

What Is It About?

Daniel is a gifted but volatile engineer who vanishes into deep space, while Emily is a film maker trying to make sense of her place in the world. The story moves between different moments in the pair's shared past, with fragments of their intense relationship, together with the choices that have set them on their divergent paths, coming together to reveal how their lives reached this point.
