Jordan Luke Gage Writes And Stars In World Premiere Of New Musical Based On True Story of Forbidden Romance

The critically acclaimed performer and writer Jordan Luke Gage stars in the first full staging of his astounding new musical, coming to the Southwark Playhouse Borough next Spring. Inspired by a heart-pounding true story of forbidden love in 18th century Bristol, Redcliffe features music, lyrics and book all written by Gage. Don't miss out on this extraordinary new British musical.

What Is The Story?

It's the middle of the 18th century, and in a corner of Bristol, William Critchard's life is about to turn on its head. He has a thoroughly unexpected meeting with charming young sailor Richard Arnold, kindling the beginnings of a relationship that will change both men and in a time when being gay meant severe persecution, will put them both in grave danger. Redcliffe enjoyed a sell-out run in its workshop phase and comes to the Southwark Playhouse with a full staging.
