Why see Miss Nightingale?
Sex, Scandal and showbiz 1940's style!
After becoming a hit on the touring circuit, this delightfully spirited musical from Matthew Bugg lands at the Hippodrome Casino for an immersive new experience. Telling the story of one 'Miss Nightingale', a cockney nurse who finds herself the star of a salacious new underground cabaret during the Blitz. But it's not all high-kicks and stockings, for the smoky club is also the meeting place of George and Sir Frank, a couple who's love is deemed by society as 'the evil within'. Miss Nightingale explores the persecution and prejudice that gay men faced during the 1940s, against a backdrop of glamour, showbiz and sex that provides a welcome freedom from oppression.
Touching, passionate and hilarious, with a musical hall infused score, this one is sure to be a hit with all the Kander and Ebb Fans in your life as we learn what it's like to live and love each day as your last.
