Edward Fox stars in this one-man show tribute to Betjeman

Veteran acting legend Edward Fox returns to the West End with this lauded one-man show that extols the work of poet John Betjeman, following its acclaimed UK tour. A strictly limited weekend run at London's Haymarket theatre the production was written by Hugh Whitemore and is helmed by Gareth Armstrong and follows Betjeman's life journey through his works; from a young boy, through his teenage years and during his time as being named Poet Laureate to later years. A loving and irreverent insight into a truly British legend, this is for all fans of the writing legend and acting king.

Head of the prolific Fox acting dynasty that includes, Freddie, Emilia, Laurence et al, 80-year old Edward has enjoyed a long-standing and successful career in both film and stage, having appeared in movies including Gandhi, The Day Of The Jackal (as the eponymous assassin), A Bridge Too Far, Oh! What A Lovely War, The Dresser, The Go-Between and James Bond’s Never Say Never Again. His stage appearances include The Audience, Four Quartets and Hamlet. A recipient of three BAFTA Awards for The Servant (1960), A Bridge Too Far (1977) and The Go-Between (1971).
