Forbidden Broadway

The unstoppable musical parody show transfers to the West End!
Why see Forbidden Broadway?
This hit Broadway show parody takes aim at the most popular musicals of our time. It doesn't matter if you haven't seen the shows featured; you will still laugh your head off. A continuous hit since 1982, it has been endorsed by the likes of Patti LaPone, Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber, who incidentally like to laugh at themselves, and undergoes continuous reinvention to keep itself fresh and up-to-date.
Last seen in the UK in 1999, the show rose from humble beginnings as a nightclub act for Gerard Alessandrini, an unemployed actor who had written a selection of musical parodies of Broadway shows. The rest as we say is history, as the show received rave reviews, and has performed non-stop since 1982 at various New York theatre venues, receiving a Tony Award for Creative Excellence in 2006, plus many others.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This updated Forbidden Broadway takes BOTH London and Broadway shows, including The Book of Mormon, Once, Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and even the newly opened Miss Saigon! A side-splittingly funny meta-musical revue with a distinctly West End twist (and its own cast!), this is recommended for show fans and even those who aren't fans of musical theatre.
