NOTHING SPECIAL EXCEPT SPECIAL EFFECT

The ensemble cast really let down the quality of the production. Dancing lacked the wow factors and many of the dance routine were let down by the cast simply going through the motion. The songs were okay, but there were no amazing stand out songs that you would expect to find in a musical. The special effects were amazing as we're the stage sets.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT PPL LOVE

We went, we saw, we didnt like it. I don't understand Standing ovations, happy reviews, but... for what? The special effects are seriously good, no doubt about that... and maybe ppl remember only the last 1/4 but the first 3/4 were terrible. Slapstick, Puns, unmotivated dancing and singing scenes that just didn't realy make sence and worst of all the acting. Marie's voice was not made for this, Doc Brown came across like the square sad on le that does wired stuff. The only singer that actually pulled any good notes was Goldie Wilson. The other issue we had was that the movie and its soundtrack is based on rock and roll, whereas the stage show feels more like an 50ies show movie. If you can't get the rights...dont do it! What would Mama Mia be without Abba? We sat thouth it, but I would have prefered to spend my money better.

MAKES A MOCKERY OF AN ICONIC FILM

If you love this film you will hate the show! I was so looking forward to seeing this show, yet from the moment the curtain went up all it did was make a mockery of this much loved film. The writers should be ashamed of themselves. The cast whilst singing and dancing put their all in to the show, yet whenever they used parts from the film they made a joke of it. This show should have been so much better. They truly have let themselves down. DO NOT SEE THIS AWFUL INTERPRETATION IF YOU LOVE OR MAY BE EVEN JUST LIKE THE FILMS.

AWFUL

Never been so bored with a show, if it wasn’t for the fact that the sound was so bad and so loud. I would have fallen asleep. How can you make an iconic film become a slap stick parady. Leave at interval. Don’t waste your time and money going to see this show.

MUSIC DIDN'T BLEND WITH THE PERFORMANCE OR STORY LINE.

Ok I was looking forward to this show but it went down hill immediately once we had found our seats. The theatre in London had terrible upper tier seats. Extremely vertical and to high so after about 15 minutes you had neck ache. I found the musical side totally disjointed to the story line ( which was limited). The volume was another issue, so load it wasn't pleasant. The only thing that was good were the stage setting performance and some special effects. We left at the half time interval. The only thing that was back to the 80's were the seats. Extremely small and uncomfortable. We constantly had knees in the back of our head. Basically all round feelings was disappointed with performance and venue
