NOT FOR ME

Really wanted to see it as others who have said it was amazing. I found it really boring and found myself zoning out a few times and wishing the time away. I think our seats may have contributed as we were very high up and the seats were uncomfortable and cramped.

COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER!

I watched "Wicked" only 3 days ago and was very dissapointed. Too many ballads and, surprisingly for a west end show, all too forgetable songs. At every show I've seen, people come out humming one song that stands out, none of these did. More effects could have been used. I'm sure there was ample opportunity for the witches to fly and for the bird to be lowered and used more. Thank goodness Sam Kelly was in it to hold some interest. Sorry if this is negative but I've seen better in the regional pantomimes.

WICKED APOLLO VICTORIA LONDON

After hearing that this was a great show we went to see it on 5th Sept. We were very disappointed. The acoustics didn't seem to be all that good and we couldn't hear the words of some of the solos and the chorus was so bad that we just had to guess what was being sung. Was that just a one off bad night or are we the only ones honest enough to admit that we didn't get value for our money? The scenery and special effects were very good, if a little deafening at times.

WASTE OF A SUNNY AFTERNOON

Amazing special effects, shame about the score and story. I very much looked forward to seeing Wicked I think it was the only musical in the West End I had not seen, well now I have and will not rush to go back. Long live Les Miserables !!!

SUCH A SHAME,

Everything about Wicked was brilliant. It has every aspect of a musical story you could want, great costumes, backgrounds, setting, singing. For some reason I could not enjoy it, this new story we have come to understand from the original Wizard Of Oz. Too much had been changed for my liking at to late of a stage in time! It seemed as though it dragged on and on and on, which is an odd one for me, im normally absolutely wanting to stay for longer!

STORYLINE WEAK

Not my cup of tea at all. Not keen on storyline and too 'sickly,' and predictable. Lovely singing voices and can understand how children might like it. Didn't hold my attention and couldn't understand demanding ovation.

THESE WERE RED SHOES THEY COULDNT FILL.

I have been a long time fan of wicked and was immensely looking forward to this show. The songs, the set design, the costumes, the story, all of that was as amazing as i had hoped they would be. The vocals of both Elpheba and Glinda were top notch. Unfortunately thats where the good bits stop. Elphie seemed stuck in singing mode and couldnt really nail the line deliveries that were spoken. The ensamble sung in such a way that it was hard to hear what was being sung. And fiyero, oh dear lord was he bad. His vocals shot all over the place while singing and his acting was stiff. It was like he was too bored to really act. Other than the occasional twirl he couldnt dance either. The terrible acting of nearly everyone ruined the show. Hopefully they decide on a carreer change because theatre is clearly not for them. Glinda however, at least had some skills. But not even she could save this utter disaster. My advice? Wait for a change in cast before going.

What we thought

mesmerising Breathtaking DELIGHTFUL

Wicked provides the perfect escape from reality

Judging from the standing ovation given at the end of the show and the throngs of emerald fans disappearing daily through those emerald doors, Wicked's spell shows no sign of abating.
