Julius Caesar Reviews
Noel from St Albans
OBSTRUCTED VIEW
Not in my top plays of the last year, but well worth seeing. However, like Louise, we were in Gallery 3 B (central seats) but we found our view was often obstructed by many in row A who continually leaned forward over the balcony rails in order to see the action almost directly them. Cote in Hays Galleria was reliable as usual.
Allison from London,
NO COLOUR AND SHADE
I found this production slightly boring. There was no love of the language . All lines seemed to be delivered shouting. I have seen many productions of Shakespeare with a modern take and this I like the least. Too much of everything topped off by a land rover at the end. All that was missing was the audience recording everything on their mobiles. The theatre space itself is stunning and for that alone is worth a visit. I luckily had a seat I would have found it difficult to have stood for a few hours with no break.
