Tina - The Tina Turner Musical is rolling down the river and out of the West End

What’s love got to do with it?

A record-breaking run since 2018, that's what! Tina - The Tina Turner musical has had audiences dancing in their seats night after night for seven years, and now the show will close at the Alywych Theatre on 13 September, 2025. It's become the longest-running production ever at the Aldwych. Not bad for a girl from Nutbush!

Producer Tali Pelman reflected on the decision:

"This was not easy. Celebrating Tina's legacy has meant everything to us. Her dream was for the musical to be more than just a tribute - it was meant to be a testament to resilience, courage, and the unshakeable belief in what's possible. We've honoured that dream."

It's Not Over Yet

Fear not, as this isn't the last dance for Tina. The show is continuing to roll on a UK and Ireland tour, and international productions are still going strong across North America and Europe. The spirit of Tina is far from finished.

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd and penned by Pulitzer Prize-winner Katori Hall alongside Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, the musical tells the story of the queen of rock n' roll with all the drama, defiance, and sequins one could dream of. There's a reason it's simply the best!
