Sunday In The Park Has Been Officially Confirmed
Starring Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey!
Jonathan Bailey and Ariana Grande are reuniting with some star duo power - and this time, it's for an all-new revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George! This will be the show's first major London production in almost 20 years.

About The Show
First premiered in 1984, Sunday in the Park with George is a landmark of modern musical theatre. Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine, the show is inspired by the life and work of painter Georges Seurat and the creation of his iconic pointillist painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, while also jumping forward a century to examine how artists continue to grapple with inspiration and connection in the modern world. The score includes some of Sondheim's most acclaimed songs, including Finishing the Hat, Move On, and the rapturous title number.
Bailey and Grande reunite following their blockbuster turns in the Wicked film adaptation. Olivier Award winner Bailey was last seen on stage in Richard II at the Bridge Theatre, while multi-award-winning pop icon Ariana Grande makes her long-awaited return to the stage - her first theatrical role since appearing in A Snow White Christmas at the Pasadena Playhouse in 2012.
The production will be directed by Marianne Elliott, reuniting with Bailey after their acclaimed collaborations on Cock and Company. Design comes from Tom Scutt, whose recent work on another Sondheim favourite, Into the Woods, earned widespread acclaim.
