Richard Kind Joins The Producers in the West End

Kind previously played Max Bialystock In The Producers on Broadway 2004

Stage and screen veteran Richard Kind is set to return to the familiar role of Max Bialystock for the West End revival of The Producers at the Garrick Theatre. Kind, who previously portrayed Bialystock in both the 2004 Broadway production and the 2012 staging at the Hollywood Bowl, will join Marc Antolin, currently starring as Leo Bloom.

His run begins on March 23 and will last seven weeks. During that time, he'll be filling in for Andy Nyman, who is temporarily leaving the production. Nyman will rejoin The Producers on May 11.

Richard Kind has released this statement:

Every time I come back to The Producers, I'm reminded what a comic masterpiece it isthe jokes, the infectious energy of the story, the sheer audacity of it allit still feels as fresh as ever. I'm so thrilled to be returning to the iconic role of Max Bialystock; this is a hat trick for methey just can't keep me away! I'll be sure to keep Andy's fedora warm for his return, and I'm excited to dive into rehearsals. It's good to be back."
