The Phantom of the Opera Unmasks a New Cast
Ahead of a milestone 40th anniversary celebration at His Majesty's Theatre
Forty years after it first emerged from the shadows in 1986, Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary musical continues to haunt the West End as one of the most successful stage productions ever made. The global phenomenon has now captivated an estimated 160 million people across 217 cities in 52 countries, performed in 23 different languages.
The New Cast
Leading the anniversary cast, Jordan Donica will take over the title role from 8 September through to spring 2027, opposite Beatrice Penny-Tour as Christine Daa, with Colleen Rose Curran performing the role at selected performances. Rhys Whitfield stars as Raoul until 21 November, while Sierra Boggess returns to the world of Phantom as Carlotta, having previously played Christine in Love Never Dies. Also joining the company are Matt Bateman as Piangi, Joseph Millson as Monsieur Andr, Ian Pirie as Monsieur Firmin, Joanna Riding as Madame Giry, and Millie Lyon as Meg Giry.

Set beneath the glittering Paris Opera House, the timeless gothic romance follows gifted soprano Christine Daa as she falls under the spell of the mysterious Phantom, a masked musical genius whose extraordinary talent is matched only by his obsession. As Christine's career soars, she finds herself caught between the darkness below the opera house and the promise of a future with her childhood love, Raoul.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic score continues to strike all the right chords, featuring "The Music of the Night," "The Phantom of the Opera," "All I Ask of You," "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again," and "Masquerade."
