The five-time Tony Award winner!
Written by David Adjmi, with songs by Will Butler of Arcade Fire, this heavily buzzed production takes you on a wild ride through the day-to-day of five rock musicians making an album in the early '70s.
The story itself is one of infighting, frustration, romance, and rock'n'roll excess (all the things you hope for from a '70s band). David Adjmi notes he drew inspiration from iconic band Fleetwood Mac and came up with the idea while listening to Led Zeppelin and pondering "What would it have been like to be in the studio when this was being recorded?".
With a powerhouse score written by Arcade Fire's Will Butler, impeccable acting, sets and gorgeous costumes, Stereophonic is a show for music lovers, by music lovers.
In 2024, the Broadway production of Stereophonic captivated both audiences and critics, winning an impressive five Tony Awards from of its history-making 13 nominations: Best New Play, Best Featured Actor, Best Direction of a Play, Best Sound Design, and Best Scenic Design. Stereophonic is a powerhouse show that excels in every aspect.
