Based on the life of John Christie, the Opera manager, not the murderer, The Moderate Soprano tells the story of Christie's greatest project of all, erecting an Opera House on his country estate in Sussex. But things aren't going to be easy for him, throw in a torrid love affair and Christie's work is under threat.

What's The Moderate Soprano about?

Inspired the work of the infamous Opera composer Richard Wagner, John Christie is determined to construct his own Opera House on his estate in leafy Sussex. But, with an enterprise this large it won't just be passion that pulls it off. However, when a famed Violinist arrives in Eastbourne Christie learns about the trials of a group of refugees in Germany. Can these people help Christie realise his dream - assuming that his wife gets the lead role of course...
