The London premiere!

This Christmas, 'Frasier' star Kelsey Grammer comes to London in this fantastical new musical adaptation of Big Fish. Helmed by Nigel Harman (Shrek), the story is based on the eclectic movie by Tim Burton which starred Ewan McGregor and now will be led by the Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe winning Grammer. Enter the world of tall tales... and very big fish this holiday season! Premiering in Chicago in 2013, the musical received near universal acclaim.

What is it about?

The story follows aging Edward Bloom (Grammer), who is a seemingly ordinary man, yet proved to be an extraordinary father, who was always ready with tall tales filled with beauty, love and imagination for his son. However, near death and frail, his frustrated son wants to know the truth about these stories; where the truth ended and fiction began. Confronting his father about these flights of fancy, the two go on one last life-affirming journey into the imagination that will hopefully fix their relationship before it is too late.

With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, this production is the very first stage re-imagining of this vibrant and heart-felt story, described as as "a rollicking fantasy set in the American South" by the show's producers.
