Society of London Theatre (SOLT) have announced that there will be a special Greatest Moments broadcast instead of the usual Olivier Awards ceremony this Sunday night. The news comes as the 2020 ceremony was cancelled last week, amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
This special programme will be hosted by Jason Manford (who was due to host this year's ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall) and will take a look at some of the most special moments from past Olivier Award ceremonies. Including archived filmed performances of The Book of Mormon, The Lion King and Hamilton (plus many more) the Olivier Awards - Greatest Moments will air on ITV at 10:15 pm on Sunday the 5th April as well as on Magic Radio between 6 pm and 8 pm on the same date.
It was also revealed that the organisers behind the Olivier Awards are planning on honouring this year's nominees at a special ceremony in the Autumn, however, no official date or venue has been announced.
