Today marks the day that Robert Hastie's Olivier-award-winning musical Standing at the Sky's Edge brings the heart and soul of Sheffield to London's Gillian Lynne Theatre! The musical, which won the 2023 Olivier Awards for Best New Musical and Best Original Score or New Orchestrations, is known for dealing delicately with universal themes of love, loss, and survival.

Featuring gorgeous melodies by Richard Hawley, a Book by Chris Bush, and direction from Sheffield Theatres Artistic Director Robert Hastie, Standing at the Sky's Edge pays homage to Sheffield and celebrates the iconic Park Hill Estate. This stunning musical offers a nostalgic glimpse into the past, exploring the evolution of modern Britain through the intertwined lives of Park Hill residents spanning three generations over six decades.

Reprising their roles are Samuel Jordan (Masters of the Air) as Jimmy, Baker Mukasa (Tina: The Tina Turner Musical) as George, Alastair Natkiel (Line of Duty) as Marcus, and Rachael Wooding (Pretty Woman: The Musical) as Rose.
