About Starlight Express
Did you miss your stop? We'll fill you in - first launched on Broadway in 1987, where it ran for 761 performances at the Gershwin and earned seven Tony nominations (winning for John Napier's legendary costumes), Starlight Express has never lost momentum.
The story goes - as engines compete to become the fastest in the world, Starlight Express brings a child's train set thrillingly to life in the form of Rusty, an underdog steam train who seems destined to fall behind - until he's inspired by the mysterious legend of the Starlight Express himself.
The production is the second outing from Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals, the partnership between Andrew Lloyd Webber and producer Michael Harrison, following the Tony-winning Broadway revival of Sunset Blvd - which also a hit in London at the Savoy Theatre.
The cast is currently led by Gavin Adams as Rusty, with Jade Marvin as Momma McCoy, Olivia Ringrose as Greaseball, Asher Forth as Electra and many more!
