Waitress Extends At The Adelphi Theatre

Now playing through to 7 December.

Congratulations are in order for Waitress as they announce that the musical will now be playing through to 7 December at the Adelphi Theatre! Written by Sara Bareilles, Waitress landed in London in February and opened on 7 March.

The musical hit recently welcomed three new cast members into their fold with X-Factor star Lucie Jones stepping into the role of Jenna, former Pussy Cat Doll and Strictly Come Dancing star Ashley Roberts as Dawn and The Inbetweeners star Blake Harrison as Ogie.

The three new members joined a cast made up of Marisha Wallace as Becky, Peter Hannah as Earl, David Hunter as Dr Pomatter and Shaun Prendergast as Old Joe.

In her five star review, Abigail said: "A musical that is an equal mix of light and dark Waitress will leave you with tears in your eyes, a laugh on your lips and joy in your heart." Read Abigail's full review here.

What is Waitress about?

Suffocated by both the small Southern town where she lives, and her controlling husband Earl, Jenna longs for escape. Her only solace comes from working in the local diner, where she can practice her passion for baking. Jenna's crumbly pastries and crinkly crusts are renowned the town over, and by a stroke of luck, they might just offer her an escape route! A pie-baking contest is announced in a nearby town, with a potentially life-changing cash prize for first place. Jenna realises this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity and is determined to grab it with both hands!

Waitress is now playing at the Adelphi Theatre through to December 7.
