Mary, Mary, quite contrary indeed

Fresh from Broadway glory (and a Tony win or two), this gloriously silly, dark comedy stars Cole Escola as none other than Mary Todd Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's infamous First Lady.

Like an unhinged cabaret meeting a 19th-century scandal, the show is directed by Tony Award winner Sam Pinkleton and is on sale now!

5 Fun Facts About Oh Mary!

1. The Broadway Buzz Was Huge.
When Oh Mary! premiered in New York, critics lost their minds (in the best way). Cole Escola's outrageous Mary earned standing ovations - and a shiny Tony Award.

2. Mary Todd Lincoln Was the OG Drama Queen.
The real Mary had a reputation for being outspoken, eccentric, and not exactly easy to live with. Escola takes that fiery spirit and dials it up to eleven.

3. History Meets Absurdity.
The play starts in 1865 the same year Abraham Lincoln's presidency (and life) ended but instead of mourning, this Mary is more interested in chasing her dreams onstage.

4. Cole Escola Wrote It During Lockdown.
Like many great unhinged ideas, Oh Mary! was born in the pandemic. Escola took Mary Todd Lincoln, isolation delirium, and their signature chaos and spun it into theatrical gold.

5. The finale is totally unhinged.

We can't spoil it, but imagine Mary Todd Lincoln taking the stage like it's her own deranged Broadway debut. The ending is so ridiculous, you'll still be giggling on the Tube home.
