Self Esteem To Star In Teeth 'n' Smiles

The rebel rock play is back, and Self Esteem, aka Rebecca Lucy Taylor, is certainly prioritising pleasure with this one! Self-Esteem will be leading a brand-new West End revival of David Hare's Teeth n' Smiles, opening at the Duke of York's Theatre in March 2026.
Directed by Daniel Raggett, this landmark production celebrates the play's 50th anniversary. First staged in 1975, Hare's explosive story follows Maggie Frisby, the once-mighty voice of 60s counterculture, now broke, jaded, and fronting a band on the verge of falling apart. With Hare's sharp writing, Nick and Tony Bict's original songs, and brand-new music and lyrics penned by Taylor herself, this revival promises to be less "Compliments Please" and more "I Do This All the Time."
This will mark Taylor's West End play debut following a stint in Cabaret, a whole new stage for the artist who's been filling venues across the UK with her own music.
