The festive classic to end all classics, no holiday season is complete without taking your seats for a showing of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol - and this year, Mark Gatiss' version of Dickens' winter ghost story is coming to haunt the Alexandra Palace Theatre again in 2025. A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story - a thrillingly atmospheric take on the tale - promises to sweep you up in this supernatural Victorian world, with the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and his transformative supernatural Christmas Eve visitations.

Sheridan Smith makes a triumphant stage return in Alan Ayckbourn's Woman in Mind, opening in the West End at the Duke of York's Theatre this December, before taking to the road to play in Sunderland and Glasgow in spring 2026. A dark comedy that follows housewife Susan after her reality is split in two after a bump on the head, Woman in Mind is a heartfelt and humourous examination of family and identity, with a psychological twist.

Written by David Adjmi, with songs by Will Butler of Arcade Fire, this heavily buzzed production takes you on a wild ride through the day-to-day of five rock musicians making an album in the early 70s. The story itself is one of infighting, frustration, romance, and rock'n'roll excess (all the things you'd expect from a disagreeing 70's band). David Adjmi notes he drew inspiration from iconic band Fleetwood Mac and came up with the idea while listening to Led Zeppelin and pondering "What would it have been like to be in the studio when this was being recorded?".

Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter, The Banshees of Inisherin) makes his long-awaited West End debut in Conor McPherson's masterpiece this autumn following a launch at Dublin's Olympia Theatre. Bryan Cranston returns to the West End this November to be reunited with acclaimed director Ivo Van Hove for this brand new production of Arthur Miller's blistering play of familial strife, set in the aftermath of World War II.
